Why I Love My Friends

So I decided to blog about why I love each one of my friends though they may never see this. Some will, some won't because they aren't cool && they don't blog. Haha. Jk. =]

CHICAGO FRIENDS

• Kristin :: I love Kristin because she is incredibly funny && together we both end up in stitches. I love her catchphrases like, "It just got real critical" && "You better werk". I love how we always end up sharing awkward moments with each other like the time when I told Mike I liked his shoes && neither one of us could hold in the laughter because we both knew I was lying. I'm in stitches typing this right now. I love how she always has to save everyone. No one girl is left behind! I love how strong she is. I wish I had a quarter of the strength Kristin has. (&& I don't mean physically) I love how boy crazy she is && how crazy she is period. I love how we never run out of things to talk about. I could go on forever. =]

• Tavan :: I love this crazy bitch for so many reasons, starting with the way he talks. Its like he is speaking another language && yet I understand every word. He has a more interesting way of saying everything. I love how he always reminds me of somebody's Grandma. I love when he impersonates Diana Ross on accident. I love when we're Ms. High Boots together. I love that we basically share the same heart && mind. I love how emotional he is, and he is not afraid to show them. He's like the sister I never had. Muah.

• Riane :: I love Riane because she is tall && she embraces that. I wish I could be more like her as far as confidence goes. I love the way she cares about everyone and hesitates to say anything negative. I love how she hits them with that flex right before she hits her dougie. I love that she never judges, but rather uses a "to each his own" attitude. I love how much she looks out for her friends, && if one of us ever needed something she would be sure to do whatever she could to help. I love how beautiful she is inside && out. Love ya.

• Alaina :: So I love Laine because she has a cool nickname. I love how her name can be inserted into any song && when I sing songs I sometimes accidentally insert her name. Lol. I love easy she is to talk to. I love her brain, and I wish that I could think as critically && analytically as she does. I love how laid back she is. She has such an easy going spirit. I love how driven she is. I cannot foresee anything stopping her from getting what she wants in life. =]

• Courtney :: I love Courtney's honesty. I love how she says how she feels when she decides she feels that way. I love her cleverness. She is extremely witty. I love how we can talk for hours and laugh and joke without feeling like we've been on the phone for more than 5 minutes. I love how adventurous she is, although at times I wish she wasn't because she raises my blood pressure! =)

• Kandace :: I love Kandace's voice! I love her funny remarks and views on pop culture. I love how Kandace knows how to turn my frown upside down. I love how protective she is over people who she truly cares about. I love how she wears dresses and how much she hates pants. I love how her mind works. I know that sounds weird but I wish I could get in there and she it functioning. I love how there's never a dull moment between us. Xoxo.

• Valen :: I love Valen's creativity. I love her fashion sense. I love how she views the world. I love hoe she's never afraid to tell when someone's tore up from the floor up. I love her HAIR! I love how she cool she is. Like she is truly cool, not in the sense of how people usually believe they're cool. She's like REALLY cool. I just love her! =]

• Asha :: I love Asha because she is incredibly talented. I love her because she doesn't boast about her talents though I wish that she would. I love Asha because her blog always amuses me which is what she created it for. I love her because she is from PHILLY! I love her because she is honest and real. I love her because she is an activist. I just love me some ASHA!

MILWAUKEE FRIENDS

• Asha'Re :: I love Re Re because she is my absolute best friend. I can't even put into word what we have been through, but believe me it's a lot. I love her because she loves me unconditionally. I love her because we can be honest with each other && never judge. I love her because we share a love of music. I love her because we are like the same person on the inside despite our oppositeness on the outside. I love her because we share so many memories like taping videos from 106th && trying to learn the goodies video. I love her because I watched her grow up && I know exactly what she needs to feel loved. I love her more than a friend. She is definitely family now. 8 years of friendship && counting.

• Noocie :: I love Noocie because she is my only cousin on my daddy side who I like. Haha. I love Noocie because we can vibe lyrically && feel the same emotions when we hear some lyrics that just rip our heart out. I love her because she is so unique && never cared to conform. I love her because she always speaks her mind. I love her because she always makes me laugh && she finds me funny as well. I love her laugh! I love how she defends me. I love how sensitive she is. I love when she talks to me because our conversations are always the best. I love my Nooce thang. =]

• Brittany :: I love this girl because she is completely retarded. I love how we always fight && have disagreements but we just can't stay away from each other. I love her voice. I love how gifted she is. I love how funny she is. I love there is never a dull moment between us. I love all the memories we share. I love how she does perfect impersonations of people. I love how emotional she is. I love her eyes. I love how devoted and perseverant she is. I just love her.

WIsconsin Dells (My Wisconsin Hell) Pt. 2

Day Number 2:

• Water park hell = wave pool for hours
• Kiddie rides that I did not want to ride 50 times in a row
• I gave up && sat down
• Josiah got crabby = we left
• Sinuses acting up and there is no solution
• Dinner w/ the fam with hilarious comedy from Josiah
• Dance battle between my dad && the boys to pretty boy swag
• When we got back Josiah fell in the toilet = cherry on top of my day

Donnie Darko (Spoiler Warning!)

So all throughout high school, whenever I was in English class, my teachers or a student would always bring up this movie Donnie Darko and I never watched it. So one day this summer, I decided to watch it. As a future English teacher, I realized why they loved this movie so much. It is a tragic film but touching nonetheless. This character Donnie Darko, is a truly disturbed teenager who has troubling visions of rabbit who is apparently from the future. Throughout the movie you get a sense of Donnie being on some kind of mission, but you never truly understand what that is until very end, which is what the clip posted below is. Now the clip doesn't spoil everything and you should watch the movie anyway. The message is great, and the song that's playing during the clip below is awesome as well. Everyone assumed Donnie to be a bad kid but what he did in the end was the ultimate sacrifice of love. GO WATCH!!!!!!

Wisconsin Dells (My Wisconsin Hell) Pt. 1

So I was recently talked into taking a trip to Wisconsin Dells (a resort town) with my father and his family, including my strange yet adorable 3 year old brother, my father's emotionally unstable baby's mother, and her annoyingly talkative son. All of these things make me very irritable and prone to random acts of violence. Not to mention that I am forced to attend water parks and theme parks with all of the extremely annoying park goers. So here is the four part tale of my journey. Here we go.

Day Number One:

I wake up to the sound of a toy truck continuously sounding off. I can't understand why so I take a look around to see who the hell is pressing the button. Come to find out its motion activated and you can't turn it off. I get up and get dressed and then we begin to pack the car. All the shit that they are trying to bring won't fit! We spend an hour attempting to get it all in there. After this we set off on our journey and after a 3 hour ride of hearing TJ (The baby mama's son) nag and repeat his nothings over and over again, we make it there. When we get there we go to the water park to eat. Why I don't know because the food is over priced and disgusting. Then we start to walk around. We do not have on swimwear, so we go to the theme park side of things. This little white girl decides to ruin my entire day by not only skipping, but also shoving passed my entire family in line for bumper cars. AND she does this while her hillbilly mama stands on the side encouraging her. At that moment, I almost lost it. Then I go to ride the kiddie coaster with TJ, although I'd rather not. This hispanic family decides to let all 50 of their children skip us in line. By this time, I was already ready to go home. Then I look down to see my father and his baby mama arguing over absolutely nothing. She's crazy. After we get off the ride TJ tells me we are riding it again even though the line is long as hell. He has told me this about every previous ride so I'm officially fed up and I snap telling him I refuse. It starts to rain and we decide we're going to go back to the hotel, sadly we remember we WALKED! I was sooo upset. Not only that, but I had to listen to TJ repeat how he never got to swim and ask me a million questions he already knows the answer to. GET ME OUT HERE!

Yes people you heard it here first. I have upgraded from my old missing keys, never charged, barely working HP. I have been converted and I am an Apple believer. =]

Now that you will be receiving my postings more often, doesn't it make your life complete again. I know that you missed me because I desperately missed you.

In all of my excitement I stopped by youtube to see what they had going on over there and I was so happy about what I found. This man was sooo upset about a perpetrator getting into bed with his sister, he went on ranting about how he was going to find him. Ik this may not sound funny, but trust me, watch and you will enjoy. =]

All I want to know is, why did the news give him this much coverage? This actually aired on the news. Man o Man.

I Can't Stand the Rain in July

Okay, so my whole city is flooding and there looks like there is no end to this storm. I'm kind of scared. && on top of this real storm there is also a storm in my love life. I have trust issues and right now I somewhat feel like I'm justified in having these beliefs. But you know that you have to get cloudy days sometimes, it can't always be sunshine.

***This just in, there is another storm coming in after this one leaves. Smh. Please pray for us. && it's bigger than the one that is here now. Ugghhh.***

On another note, What the hell was Nicki Minaj doing in her video "Your Love". She was such a mess. I watched it premiere on 106th & Park live yesterday && the audience && the hosts were caught laughing after the video was done. Omg it was hilarity at it's best.

Yesterday, I also got hipped to the scandal that was caused by an 11 year old girl named Jessi Slaughter. I'm sure many of my fellow bloggers have heard of her. Well, she appeared on Good Morning America this morning && she made me want to slap the taste out of her mouth. This little girl has lost her mind, but when you see who her parents are you will see why she is how she is. Just take a look for yourself. Smh.

After she posted this and received tons of negative feedback, she and her parents uploaded this video.

• I have moved back to boring Milwaukee for the summer and the chaos has begun. My family is crazy and my friends are few. It's safe to say that I don't feel at home in my own home. (Dreamgirls reference)
• I am also broke. No money due to no job. I am eager to join the workforce but no one will hire me! Dang. Can I get some experience under my belt.
• I miss ALL of my Chicago friends && I am currently in CHICAGO! That's right! && you say Chi City! However, I am sad because they are not all here. I do have my Chi Chi && Tava && Lainy && Best Friend Cousin Mickey. =]

4/20 is over

So 4/20 is over, && I must say that I had one hell of a day. I never noticed how hard it is to function with the rest of society when you're high. It's incredibly difficult. I laughed at everything && I was unable to be touched. If you touched me I would flip out. It was fun but I do not recommend being around sober people or attempting to do normal things on 4/20.

**I have come to the conclusion that I, Taylor Boyd, will be dropping my Political Systems class. I already hate history or anything related to it, and on top of that my teacher is blind. Yes. Justin Nozuka is definitely a heartthrob. His debut album Holly was released in 2007 and everyone fell in love with his hit single "After Tonight". Although his album didn't do as well as it could have, he is definitely a talented musician. Be on the lookout for his new album titled You I Wind Land And Sea to be released on April 13th. I recommend this artist. He is truly talented.

Kim && Reggie Looking for Replacements

Is Kim getting a little greedy with the reality TV shows? Word in the city is that Kim is pitching a dating style game show to help her in her search for “Mr. Right”. I guess it’s getting a little lonely in her condo now that she and Reggie broke up. It has also been heard that Reggie is dating a video vixen. Hmmm. I am sure this is upsetting Ms. Kardashian. Dolicia Bryant is his new girl and she has had plenty experience with dating famous people. It has been said that she dated Kanye, Bow Wow, Jamie Foxx, and 50 other Black celebs. Damn girl slow it down. Well at least she’s pretty and her body is banging. NO BUTT PADS! Sorry Kim. Still love ya!

DePaul's New Head Coach

DePaul University welcomes their new head men's basketball coach Oliver Purnell. Purnell is set to take on the challenging job of turning around DePaul's suffering basketball program. Everyone is watching and hoping that he can in fact make this program much better than before. Go Blue Demons!
